A recent study has claimed that Vitamin D can really cause weight loss in people who are obese. The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, which conducted the study, has revealed that vitamin D plays a role in weight loss in obese persons.
The research on the effect of Vitamin D in weight loss was conducted on 38 obese patients, both men and woman. Both the active and the inactive levels of Vitamin D in these persons were tested from 11 weeks of weight loss programme.
The results showed that vitamin D levels predicted subsequent weight loss success in subjects on a weight loss diet.

Eat healthy for slim waistline
People always think of starving to get rid of their extra weight. But the fact is that starving is dangerous and does not help in lowering the extra calories. In fact, starving only adds to the weight.
Healthy eating goes a long way in weight loss. We have to know what to eat and what not to eat. Here I am just discussing a few foods that can be included into your diet without expanding your waistline.
Fruits and vegetables should be included more in the diet. These are rich in nutrients and also help in getting rid of unnecessary craving for snacks in between. These are also good source for fibres, which also help in maintaining a healthy body. Beans, cereals, oatmeal are some example, which contain fibres.
You should have to control the sugar intake and also protein intake. Eggs, fish and chicken are good for lean proteins. Do not go for fried foods and also junk foods that only contain high calories.
Along with foods water also plays an important part in maintaining a healthy body. Drink only water and nothing else. Do not go for soft drinks, sodas and alcohols that only add to the body’s calories.

Maintaining a healthy life style, healthy eating and proper exercise are the things that burn the fat from your body. Well, here are a few tricks that we often do not take note of when we want to really reduce the extra fat from the body.
The first thing to take note of is not to drink water or any other liquid when eating. But most of the people have a habit of drinking water along with their food. When water or any liquid is drunk when eating, the food does not get digested properly because the liquid dilutes the enzymes that are needed to break down food.
Apples are also known to be good tricks for weight loss. The ales are effective as they contain fibres. Basically all fibres are good for weight loss.
Another thing that seems funny is to rub the belly after the meal. It is not a joke. Rubbing the belly for 2 to 3 minutes can stimulate digestion.
